Education and Responsibility...
Here is the link for the remarks that President Obama will make to the kids in schools across the country tomorrow, Tuesday, September 8th,
http://www.whitehouse.gov/MediaResources/PreparedSchoolRemarks/
I hope all of you read it. I hope all of you have a discussion with your own children, grandchildren, neices, nephews, cousins, any children in your life about the importance of education. I hope we all educate ourselves in many ways. I hope we take responsibilities for our actions and our destinties. I think the speech is wonderful. I am so impressed with the focus on the importance of working hard, that nothing good comes easy. I know that too many of our kids think that if it's too hard just quit. I hope that we, with the help of teachers, other adult influences, and respected leaders, can teach our children that working hard is the only way to achieve your goals. I hope everyone takes the chance to read this speech and that they allow their children to hear such powerful words from a respected leader in our country. It doesn't matter what political party, or what religion, or what your moral beliefs are... this speech on the importance of education should be heard by every child in the nation.
It will be a sad day if parents, who do not choose to educate themselves by reading these words the President will say, keep their kids home and don't allow them to hear this speech. I think it will be inspiring and motiviating to many children across the country.
